The maximum performance with the latest xDSL technologies up to 8 Mbps. Solutions for point-to-point (HSDL) and Internet (ADSL) applications. For further information: international@digicom.it or http://www.digicom.it Modem HDSL 2M Eth/V.35/G.703 DESCRIPTION Digicom’s HDSL modems represent the ideal solution to connect two LANs or PABX in local environments. Digicom’s HDSL Modems operate over 2 or 4 wires leased lines up to 2Mbit/s. The use of 4 wires lines and the possibility to operate with variable speeds allow to take advantage of the maximum distances according to the line characteristics. In particular, it is possible to change the line speed, increasing the maximum distance of the connection. Due to the rising interest in this technology and the increasing of the applications, Digicom decided to widen the range of these products, based on the HDSL technology. There are now three desktop versions available: with V.35 and G.703 interface and the new one with Ethernet interface. The rack version will make easier the hub of multiple lines in a sole place (up to 8 devices in any rack). Thanks to the new Ethernet interface 10/100 you will be able to carry out LAN to LAN (bridge) applications without needing and external router, that means an important reduction of the costs. • 2 and 4 wires leased lines • Maximum speed 2Mbit/s • Service Nx64 Kbit/s (N between 1 and 32) • Modulation: 2B1Q • Interface: - V.35 - G.703 120 ohm - G.703 75 ohm • Led indicators: Power, Link1, Link2, V.35/G.703, Master/Slave, Loop, local modem Alarm, remote modem alarm; and for the Ethernet interface: Link and Activity • Local and remote configuration through supplied utility • Flash upgradable • CE Mark • Size of Desktop version: 206 x 152 x 52h mm • Size of 19”Rack version: 483 x 274 x 222h mm The presence of V.35 interface allows to interface a V.35 router and carry out LAN to LAN applications with advanced functionalities like NAT, Firewall, VPN, etc. Thanks to G.703 interface it is possible to have remote extensions of a PABX.

The Modem HDSL is configured through the serial port using the “SetHDSL” program for Windows®, supplied in the package. This program can be used to easily configurate both the local and the remote modem. A complete series of Leds indicates the status of the device or any fault both on the remote and local modem. Diagnostics operations are possible through the management of local and remote loop, using the “SetHDSL” program. Digicom’s HDSL modems use the traditional twisted pair (metallic continuity is needed). In case of campus applications (inside a private estate) it is not necessary to...
