Material Composition: Diflon D is composed of PTFE combined with glass fibers and compressed salts, enhancing its mechanical and thermal properties.

Thermal Properties: Diflon D can operate continuously in dry conditions up to 280°C. It has a low thermal expansion coefficient (5.9 x 10^-5) between -30°C and +30°C, maintaining properties like minimal friction and self-lubrication even at cryogenic temperatures (-240°C). It is safe with liquid oxygen, nitrogen, ammonia, and freon.

Mechanical Properties: The material exhibits a 50% elongation at break at 23°C, unaffected by prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures or corrosive environments. Diflon D is self-lubricating, with wear resistance 20,000 times greater than PTFE, higher surface hardness, and lower deformation under constant load. It retains elasticity across a wide temperature range, providing excellent plastic memory.

Chemical Properties: Diflon D is inert to most chemicals, except molten alkali metals and high-temperature fluorine gas.

Applications: Suitable for self-lubricating bearings, bushings, piston rings, and various seals. It is used in environments with acids, solvents, and dust, and where lubrication is inaccessible. It eliminates lubricant contamination in compressed gases and is easily machinable.

Production Program: Offers semifinished materials like tapes, sheets, extruded tubes, and moulded parts. Finished products include standard bearings and custom parts.

Physical and Electrical Properties: Diflon D has a specific weight of 2.28-2.24 kg/dm³, low water absorption, and is flame-retardant. It has a dielectric constant of 2.5-2.6 and high volume resistivity.
