FLYPPER ELECTRONIC WATER METER The rotating movement of the impeller is transferred by a modulator disc to the sensor system of the FLYPPER electro- nic counter module. A built-in microprocessor evaluates the sensor signals produced and counts the number of impeller revolutions, detects the direction of rotation and measu- res the time for each revolution. The microprocessor then calculates the volume flowing through the meter from these parameters and adds up the meter reading. The current flow rate is calculated from the time for one impeller rotation. The FLYPPER module can be read out via M-Bus, LBus or optical interface. The module is powered externally from the M-Bus when this bus is connected. The internal battery is switched off in this case. The built-in lithium battery is rated to give the module a lifetime of over 10 years without an external power supply. □ Protection class IP 68 for multi-jet and Woltman meters for cold water up to 30 °C (safe up to 50 °C) □ Protection class IP 54 for multi-jet meters for warm water □ Current instantaneous flow rate □ Programmable reading date □ Primary address set to 000 ex works □ Primary address can be changed in the field using □ Secondary address set to meter number ex works □ Lithium battery guarantees lifetime longer than calibration period (over 10 years if LCD switched off) □ Convenient mechanical button for switching display □ M-Bus interface in standard variant □ Simultaneous M-Bus data transmission and external power supply □ Pulse rates with HYDRO-SET in the field configurable □ Up to two pulse outputs possible □ Connectivity to an external radio module □ Optional: L-Bus interface instead of M-Bus interface □ 5-wire cable, 3-m long to IP 68 supplied as standard □ 3-wire cable, 3-m long to IP 54 supplied as standard

FLYPPER ELECTRONIC WATER METER The FLYPPER electronic counter module is type-approved by the Federal Institute of Physical Engineering (PTB) for use with all HYDROMETER dry-running meters. The specified calibration period is 6 years. A button mounted on the front panel of the meter is used to activate the display. The basic display shows the current volume and can be switched to the next display by pressing the button.
