05 | 2011 Advanced cut-to-size sawing line The graphic interfaces at operator stations or remote control centers provide clear and legible monitoring of the saw. This ensures that the production status is readily monitored and controlled. Cutting patterns are formulated through the user interface which transmits the patterns to the saw control. The system is also fully integrated to the intermediate storage for stack ordering. page 3

05 | 2011 Cut-to-size sawing line operating principle The boards are received at sawing line either as single boards directly from sanding or in stacks from intermediate storage. Book forming The boards are formed into books and aligned both cross- and lengthwise to minimize trimming. The maximum book height is 200 mm. Protection panels for the final stacks are also fed onto book forming table and are cut together with master panels when the cutting pattern is the same. Feeding pusher feeds the topmost board of the stack. Several boards (mini-book) are fed simultaneously. Book forming page 4
