Technical Specifications:
The Hallite™ E4744 Twin Lip Rod Seal is designed for medium to high-pressure applications. It operates at a maximum speed of 1.0 m/sec (3.0 ft/sec) and within a temperature range of -45°C to +110°C (-50°F to +230°F). The seal can withstand a maximum pressure of 400 bar (6,000 psi), extendable to 700 bar (10,000 psi) with a backup ring.

Design and Features:
The Hallite 622 seal features a unique NBR energiser for complete lip actuation under all pressure conditions, providing shock load cushioning. Its twin lip profile enhances dry rod sealing. The seal is made from high-performance polyurethane Hythane® 181, ensuring flexibility and performance at low temperatures. It is particularly effective as a replacement rod seal in older construction equipment.

Installation and Maintenance:
The seal is designed for easy installation, making it ideal for maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) to eliminate leakage. The twin lip design offers improved sealing, primary lip protection, and increased seal stability.

Dimensional and Surface Specifications:
Maximum extrusion gap is specified with figures showing permissible gaps. Surface roughness for dynamic sealing faces is between 0.1 to 0.4 µm Ra, and for static sealing faces, it is a maximum of 1.6 µm Ra. Chamfers and radii are specified for groove sections and fillet radii, ensuring proper fit and function.
