Di Nicola rectangular rubber-seated butterfly gates are designed and manufactured for water-tight closure. The easy installation and operation allows a variety of uses in waste water application. They are available in four-sided seating models or in-line mounting and in three-sided channel mounted units. Butterfly gates are designed and fabricated for its specific installation and according to customers requirements. Uses Rectangular butterfly are commonly used where low headroom prevents the use of conventional sluice gates, and where flow modulating is required. Other advantages include: • Watertight performance in both directions. • Acceptance of maximum heads of water on either sides • Easy operations. • Easy maintenance. Butterfly Body The body is designed to be grouted into the concrete channel allowing easy adjiustement before to concrete; wall thimbles and anchoring angle supports are available on request. In any configuration the Di Nicola design allows the replacement of the bonnet and disc sliding them from the body in the concrete. Disc and Seat Butterfly gate discs are “offset” designed to provide a full uninterrupted seating surface. Discs are stainless steel AISI 316 L with no external ribs transverse to the flow.
