Engine Specifications
The agricultural engine offers a power range of 67 – 155 kW (91 – 210 hp) at 2400 rpm. It features a liquid cooling system, a grey cast iron crankcase with integrated liners, and a one-piece greycast block type cylinder head. The valve arrangement includes one intake and one exhaust valve per cylinder, actuated via tappets, pushrods, and rocker arms. The engine uses a three-ring piston design with oil cooling via spray nozzles and a wastegate turbocharger with charge air cooling.

Components and Materials
Key components include drop-forged steel connecting rods and crankshaft, bi-metal crankshaft bearings, and four-metal, tri-metal sliding connecting rod bearings. The camshaft is made of steel and driven by high toothed spur gears. The lubrication system is a forced-feed circulation type with an externally arranged lube oil cooler and a paper-type microfilter.

Fuel and Electrical Systems
The engine is equipped with two high-pressure plug pumps and an electronic speed governor (EMR3). It features a 7-hole nozzle injector and a replaceable cartridge fuel filter. Standard electrical components include a 14 V / 55 A three-phase alternator and a 12 V / 3 kW starter motor. Optional equipment includes various electrical configurations and hydraulic pumps.

Performance and Compliance
The engine is designed for cost-effectiveness, low noise emissions, and flexibility. It meets future exhaust emission levels Stage III B / IV and EPA Interim Tier 4 / Tier 4. The engine complies with 2004/26/EU, Step III A, and US-EPA Tier 3 / Tier 4 interim regulations.

Dimensions and Technical Data
The TCD 2012 L4 and L6 models have dimensions of 783 x 629 x 812 mm and 1041 x 667 x 897 mm, respectively. Both models have a bore/stroke of 101/126 mm and a compression ratio of 1:18. The maximum rated speed is 2400 rpm, with a specific fuel consumption of 215 g/kWh.
