  • Operational Parameters: Minimum integration time of 0.2 ms, maximum read-out rate of 1 MHz, and operational voltages of ±6V, +5V DC.
Features
  • Offers a sensitivity range from 1.5pC to 76.5pC with 51 steps, with separate settings for low and high energy detectors.
  • Provides differential analog output with a maximum read-out rate of 1 MHz.
  • Typical applications include baggage and small cargo X-ray screening systems.
Principle of Operation
The X-Card detector card is a dual-energy linear array X-ray detector card with two layers of Silicon photodiode arrays for different X-ray energy ranges. Scintillant material converts X-ray signals into visible light, generating current at the photodiode. This current is integrated in the read-out CMOS chip by charge amplifiers, and voltage outputs are read out serially through multiplexing circuitry.
Applications
X-Cards are typically used in security screening systems, providing raw X-ray image data for further processing. They are suitable for a wide range of X-ray energy and flux, making them versatile for small carry-on baggage systems or mid-size air cargo inspection systems. Single energy versions are available for industrial non-destructive inspection systems.
