Applications

Both VAC-2000 and VAC-4001 are suitable for use as emergency bilge pumps, bilge-ballast pumps, general service pumps, vacuum pumps, gland-leaking water pumps, and in chemical industries. They are also used for draining holds, emptying vessels, and well point systems.

Technical Specifications

VAC-2000: Features DN 65 suction/discharge pipe connections, a maximum capacity of 20 m3/h, and a total head of 1.6 bar. It has a suction head of 92% (approx. 9.6 mLC) and is available in cast iron and bronze. It can be configured with a free shaft end, electric motor, or diesel engine, and is available in a submerged version.
VAC-4001: Features DN 100 suction/discharge pipe connections, a maximum capacity of 85 m3/h, and a total head of 2.0 bar. It also has a suction head of up to 92% (approx. 9.6 mLC) and is available in cast iron and bronze. It can be configured with a free shaft end, electric motor, or diesel engine, and is available in a submerged version.

Design

Both models are based on the liquid ring system and combine the performances of diaphragm, piston, and centrifugal pumps. They feature a free rotating stainless rotor, stainless steel rotor housing, and wear plate, with protection against dry-running through oil-lubricated seals.

Advantages

Both models offer enormous air capacity, wear resistance, dry-running protection, and can operate without a non-return valve. They are designed for direct or V-belt drive, have no diaphragms, are lightweight, and have a compact design.

Additional Information

VAC-2000 is complete with a flexible coupling and electric motor of 2.2 kW at 2850 RPM.
VAC-4001 is available in a close-coupled design with an electric motor of 5.5 kW at 2850 RPM.
