Specifications:
ROTAN® PD pumps are specifically designed for refinery and petrochemical applications. All pressure-containing components are made of carbon steel. These pumps comply with API 676 2nd edition standards with minor exceptions. They are available in 90° angular configurations and have a capacity range of up to 250 m³/h (1100 gpm) and can operate at speeds up to 1750 rpm. The differential pressure can reach up to 16 bar (232 psi), and they can handle viscosities up to 250,000 cSt and temperatures up to 250°C (482°F).

Applications:
These pumps are suitable for pumping various fluids including fuel, oil, gasoline, lube oil, grease, other hydrocarbon-based fluids, additives, bitumen, polystyrene, and wax.

Design and Standards:
The design pressure is according to ANSI 300 Lbs or Pn40. The pumps meet API 676 2nd Edition standards with few exceptions.

Selection Procedure:
To select the appropriate pump size, determine the capacity and viscosity. Use the provided table to draw lines from the viscosity and capacity values to find the intersection point, which indicates the pump size. Adjust capacity if necessary to align with pump lines. The speed is determined vertically below the intersection point. Maximum speed should be reduced by 50% for abrasive liquids or emulsions.

Power Calculation:
The shaft power is calculated using the formula: E(KW) = 0.07 x flow (m³/h) x differential pressure (bar). Adjustments to shaft power are necessary based on pump size and viscosity: increase by up to 35% for small pumps with high viscosity and decrease by up to 35% for large pumps with low viscosity.
