At each Put Wall workstation, an associate begins by scanning the next tote in sequence to be processed. Once the tote is inducted, the operator picks up the first item in the tote and scans it. A light mounted at the compartment location in the Put Wall is illuminated, indicating the appropriate compartment to “put” the item. The operator places the item in the compartment and confirms.
