Principle
A prism reflector reflects light back along the same axis as the emitting light, regardless of the emission angle, provided it does not exceed 15°.

  • Ambient Temperature: The maximum temperature depends on the prism type. Water-cooled bases allow for higher temperatures. Plastic multi-prism reflectors can deform under intense infrared radiation, even at low temperatures, so they should not be placed near strong IR sources.

Warning: A plastic multi-prism reflector may be deformed by intense infrared radiation, even at low ambient temperatures.
