They are rugged sensors which detect the presence of metal. They are ideally suited for extreme environmental conditions with high ambient temperature. Technical characteristics Reference Mounting Housing type Nominal Switching Distance Sn* Max. commutation frequency * : The nominal switching distance Sn is a theoretical value corresponding to the detection of a standard target in mild steel with axial approach. The switching point can be between 0.81 to 1.21 of Sn. To have a reliable detection it is recommended to keep the o perating distance at 0.81 of Sn. If the target is made of a material other than mild steel, the switching distance will be reduced.
