Introduction
The Mobrey MSP-RTP External Temperature Sensor is designed for use with ultrasonic transmitters MSP400RH and MSP900GH. It enhances accuracy in installations where the integral temperature sensor does not accurately represent the air or medium temperature.

Sensor Specification
The sensor features a 316 stainless steel body with two locknuts and an M8 thread, suitable for a maximum panel thickness of 6 mm. It operates within a temperature range of -40 to 85 °C, while the cable can withstand temperatures from -20 to 80 °C. The sensor includes a 5-meter long single twisted pair cable. When used with an MSP900GH intrinsically safe transmitter, it is classified as 'simple apparatus' under EN 50020 paragraph 5.4, with a temperature class of T6 and operational range of -20 °C to 80 °C.

Installation Guidelines
1. Connect the sensor wires to terminals 7 and 8 of the transmitter without concern for polarity.
2. Install the sensor between the transmitter and the liquid level to measure temperature at a representative point.
3. Ensure the sensor does not become submerged.
4. Avoid placing the sensor near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
5. Do not mount the sensor directly onto a large thermal mass for optimal temperature response.
6. Prevent false echoes by avoiding direct placement in the transmitter beam path.
7. The transmitter will automatically detect and enable the sensor, with fine adjustments available as per the Installation Manual.
