FUEL CELLS Delphi Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Auxiliary Power Unit The Delphi Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) is a high-efficiency electrochemical generator designed to provide up to 5 kW of environmentally friendly electrical power for a wide range of transportation and stationary applications. As a result of its fuel flexibility, the Delphi SOFC APU can be engineered to use many types of fuels that are currently available, including natural gas, diesel, bio-diesel, propane, gasoline, coalderived fuel and military logistics fuel. Since the fuel is converted directly to electricity without combustion, the Delphi SOFC APU operates at a higher efficiency than traditional internal combustion engines, while at the same time eliminating nearly all pollutants and noise.
