Powder Pump

Product catalog summary
Introduction
De Dietrich® offers a reliable solution for powder transfer using the POWDER PUMP, which employs dense phase flow to move powder efficiently and safely between equipment. This system is designed for easy integration into existing environments and is suitable for various applications in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Advantages
  • Containment: No dust formation, maintains inert conditions, and supports pressurized or vacuum reactors.
  • Security: Reduces operator exposure to reactive environments and minimizes electrostatic charges.
  • Powder Handling: Reduces attrition and fines, prevents demixing.
  • Ease of Use: Supports long-distance loading, simple maintenance, and offers Cleaning In Place (CIP) solutions.

Applications
The POWDER PUMP is versatile, handling a wide range of solid types, including wet solids, making it ideal for controlled material addition in various industries.

Operating Principle
The system uses alternating vacuum and pressure to transfer powders in dense phase, ensuring efficient and continuous operation. The process involves six steps: cycle start, vacuum breaking, powder inerting, body evacuation, powder suction, and filter unclogging.

Technical Information
The standard Powder Pump features a body with a tangential inclined tube and a filtration device. It is available in materials like stainless steel, alloy, and glass. The system includes various valves and can be customized with options like flexible transfer tubes and integrated rotary valves.

Specifications
The Powder Pump is available in sizes from DN100 to DN400, with different materials and configurations to suit specific needs. It supports a range of vacuum requirements and transfer capacities, depending on factors like powder properties and transfer distance.

Contact Information
De Dietrich Process Systems has a global presence with contact details provided for various regions, including Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

Powder Pump-3

OPERATING PRINCIPLE V4 V3 Label N° Powder input valve Powder output valve Vacuum inlet valve Nitrogen inlet valve The POWDER PUMP combines alternating use of a vacuum and a pressure source. The vacuum (<100 mbar) sucks the powders directly from their container (bag, drum, big-bag, silo, process equipment, etc.) filling the pump body. Pressure is used for emptying, while simultaneously unclogging the filter. The transfer is performed in dense phase, the powder is transferred in plugs at a limited speed (< 5m/s). Cleaning (unclogging) of the filter is performed using the reverse gas flow during emptying...
