SLC SERIES 1000/2000 SURFACE WINDER OVERVIEW Davis-Standard's SLC Series of Surface Winders provide a high capacity winding solution spanning an extremely wide range of applications. Widths from 40" to 130" (1016-3302 mm) are available. Roll diameters of up to 60" (1500 mm) are available on the SLC 1000 along with integral nip and roll unloading. A full range of options cover high speed operations, center drives and shaft handling. KEY FEATURES ■ Horizontal flat bed design separates roll weight support function from winding nip force ■ Pneumatically controlled sliding roll carriage enhances accurate lay-on/nip control ■ High capacity shaft bearings at an inboard location for improved shaft performance ■ Faster and smoother shaft hand-off at transfer for minimal winding changes ■ High speed pneumatic traversing knife assembly for reliable cut/transfers ■ Separate dedicated hydraulic arms for lowering full roll ■ Web tension control through accurate load cells with taper function ■ Touch screen controls for all winder settings including length counter ■ Bowed roll located prior to the drum ■ Center slitters (2) for multiple lane production
