AGRICULTURAL STRETCH FILM OVERVIEW Davis-Standard leads the industry in experience and technology innovation on large, wide blown film systems. There is no better extruder available for high output and low melt temperature than the MAC extruder and DSBII screw. The unique extrusion concept leads to the best and most consistent melt quality (temperature uniformity to 2 degrees F and pressure variation <1%) which is necessary to get uniformity from large dies. The die systems can be oscillating up to 1.2 M diameter or stationary up to 2.1M diameter. These systems produce controlled property films at wide widths with flat rolls. Agricultural stretch films must have uniform quality and thicness to consistently secure the bales, excellent stretch properties with consistent cling levels, strong puncture resistance, high load retention for bale integrity and low oxygen and water permeability.
