Product Description Premium Metal-Guard is a specially formulated polyethylene film designed to protect multi-metals during all stages of packaging, shipping and storage. Through volatilization and contact, corrosion inhibitors in the film provide long-term protection against the corrosive effects of moisture, sale and other contaminants. Film is transparent, strong and tear-resistant. Available 2-8 mil; as heat-sealed bags, shrouds, and fabricated covers; stretch film. High strength formulations also available. Corrosion Protection Premium protection for a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Protects steel, cast iron, copper, brass, bronze, galvanized, nickel and nickel plated, tin and tinplate. Parts should be clean and free of fingerprints before wrapping. Package your clean products as quickly as possible. The metal part should be no more than 12” from the VCI product. The closer to the metal, the better the corrosion protection. As a general rule, use 1 sq. ft. of VCI for every 1-3 sq. ft. of metal surface. Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
