Product catalog summary
General Specifications:
The Butterfly Valve Type 2230 is a wafer-style valve available in dimensions ranging from DN40 to DN600. The pressure ratings are PN16 for DN40-DN150 and PN10 for DN200-DN600, with an option for PTFE at PN10. The body is made of GGG40 ductile iron, with disc options in AISI 316 or SS201. The seat materials include NBR, EPDM-H, FPM, or PTFE, and the stem is made of AISI 420 stainless steel. The valve features a three-layer epoxy surface coating and complies with EN558-1 face-to-face dimensions. It can be operated manually or with a gearbox or actuator (pneumatic, electric, or hydraulic).

Options:
Alternative materials for the body include GSC25N, AISI 304, and AISI 316. The disc can be made from Rilsan-covered ductile iron, Alu-bronze, Duplex, Hastelloy, or PTFE-coated materials. Additional seat materials are available, such as natural rubber, Hypalon, and silicone. The stem can also be made from AISI 431.

Design Features:
The valve is certified with EN 10204 3.1, CE/PED, and ATEX approvals. It features a unique wave-shaped seat that reduces torque and extends service life. The seat is vulcanized to a replaceable back-up ring, ensuring 100% tightness and suitability for vacuum and high flow velocity applications. The valve's two-piece stem and streamlined disc design provide a high Kv-value and reduced turbulence. ISO 5211 mounting flanges allow for direct actuator mounting.

Dimensions and Performance:
The valve dimensions vary by size, with detailed measurements provided for each DN size. The Kv-value, representing the flow coefficient, is specified for each valve size, indicating the flow rate at a 1 bar pressure drop. The seat temperature ranges are specified for different materials, with EPDM-H operating from -15°C to +120°C, NBR from -10°C to +80°C, FPM from -20°C to +170°C, and PTFE on silicone backup from -40°C to +180°C.

Installation and Maintenance:
The valve is designed for easy installation between flanges without seat displacement. It is recommended to activate the valves at least once a month. For non-lubricating and dry media, torque values should be multiplied by 1.2 when sizing actuators.

•Optional choise - ON REQUEST VALVE DATA Kv = The amount of m3 per hour of 20° C water at 1 bar pressure drop. Cv = The number of US gallons per minute of 60° F water at 1 psi pressure drop. Cv = 1,167 Kv. From DN350 to DN600 valves, if the normal pressure is 16 bar, Kv the torque value is the same as the values for the wafer and lug models. *) PTFE Liner The charted values are for water, seawater, lubricating types of hydrocarbons. Temperatures from 0° C to 80° C. Valves are activated at least once a month. For other liquid applications and lubricating gas- ses, multiply values by 1,1. For non-lubricating...
