DS50ID

Product catalog summary
Overview: The DS50ID is a high precision fluxgate AC/DC current transducer designed for galvanically isolated measurement up to 150 A. It features a 50 A rms nominal current, a 500:1 primary/secondary current ratio, and a 1 MHz bandwidth. The device is RoHS compliant and suitable for applications such as EV test benches, power measurement, and medical scanners.
Specifications: The transducer operates at a supply voltage of ±15 V and can measure continuous primary AC currents of 50 Arms and DC currents from -75 A to 75 A. It has a measuring range of -150 A to 150 A and an overload capacity of 1500 A for a single pulse of 100ms. The device offers a total accuracy of 61 ppm, linearity of 1 ppm, and offset of 60 ppm.
Electrical Characteristics: The DS50ID has a response time of 1 µs to 90% of step current and a phase shift ranging from 0.01° at <10 Hz to 15° at <1000 kHz. It supports a power supply voltage range of ±14.25 V to ±15.75 V and operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
Isolation and Safety: The device complies with IEC 61010-1 standards, offering reinforced insulation with a clearance of 9.5 mm and a creepage distance of 10.5 mm. It is designed for indoor use with a pollution degree of 2 and an ingress protection rating of IP20.
Installation and Use: The DS50ID should be powered by a DSSIU-4-1U or DSSIU-6-1U power supply. It requires careful handling to avoid electrical shock, especially when dealing with high voltages. The device includes Advanced Sensor Protection Circuits to prevent damage under fault conditions.
Environmental and Mechanical Characteristics: The transducer is designed for use at altitudes up to 2000 m and can be stored within the same temperature range as its operating conditions. It has a mass of 0.6 kg and uses a D-sub-9 connector for connections.
Compliance and Standards: The DS50ID conforms to EC Directives 2014/30/EU and 2014/35/EU, and harmonized standards EN 61010-1 and EN 61326-1. It is manufactured in accordance with the RoHS directive 2011/65/EU.

Linearity error Linearity error is defined as the deviation from a straight line. The straight line is a linear regression trend line based on the least squares method of the measurement points from 0 to positive max current and another trendline is calculated from 0 to negative max current. The difference between each measured point and the linear trend line is the linearity error. The linearity error eL can be expressed as (1), where Ireading is the measurement result and Ifitted is the regression value. Reading is the actual value measured at a given time. Full scale is the rated nominal value...

External devices: External devices connected to current transducers must comply with the standards IEC61010-1 and IEC62368-1 and be energy-limited circuitry The transducer should only be cleaned with a damp cloth. No detergent or chemicals should be used. When multiple primary turns are used or high primary currents are applied the temperature around the transducer will increase, please monitor to ensure that the maximum ratings are not exceeded. It is recommended to have minimum 1 November 2012 mm2 Dato: per15.ampere in the primary bus bar. Intended use The DS50ID is designed to measure current...
