Daikin ThinLine™ Horizontal Cabinet Unit Heaters are designed for single-zone applications, with sizes ranging from 200 to 1200 CFM. These valves are designed to modulate water flow through a coil based on signals from a Daikin thermostat or MicroTech controller. Three-way valves allow mixing of water directed through the coil and bypass line, exiting through the leaving water pipe. Modulating valves are either three-wire, floating-point, or 0-10 VDC proportional, with factory mounting in the supply water pipe upstream of the coil. Note that MicroTech controllers currently support only 3-wire modulating valves.
Daikin Tools software assists in selecting the appropriate modulating valve size by calculating the water coil’s Cv using coil performance data, flow rate, and pressure differential. Valve and piping packages can be configured and selected automatically using this software.
Various valve and piping packages are available, including basic, enhanced, premium, and deluxe options, each with different components like control valves, shut-off valves, strainers, and flow-setters.
