SAFETY PRODUCT CERTIFICATION - N MARK OF AENOR Protection against falls at different levels is one of the most important aspects to consider in construction works. There are countless situations in which it is necessary to establish collective protection systems to safeguard the integrity of workers. Nowadays, the VI General Convention on Construction establishes the regulatory framework that provisional edge protection systems must comply with, indicating in its article 181 that the current regulations must be taken into account. European standard EN 13374:2013+A1:2018 “Temporary edge protection systems. Product specifications. Test methods.” establishes the applicable requirements for systems intended to protect people against falls at a lower level and retain materials at construction sites. THE N MARK OF AENOR DACAME obtains AENOR’s product certification for provisional edge protection systems. The certified product N mark is a mark of compliance with standards. The products that are granted this mark are subjected to different evaluations and periodic checks to verify their compliance with the corresponding standards. To this end, AENOR has developed a particular certification system that indicates the standards and technical specifications applicable to the product, the particular rules and the necessary procedures. All this information is collected in a Particular Regulation, which marks the guidelines to be followed by the manufacturer who wants to incorporate this brand in one of its edge protection systems. ACCREDITED EXTERNAL LABORATORY DACAME, in addition to the product certification with AENOR, has sought to ensure compliance with the UNE-EN 13374:2013 standard by sample testing of our Provisional Edge Protection Systems in the Tecnalia Technology Centre, accredited testing laboratory ENAC No. 4 / LE024, obtaining satisfactory results for our systems: “B35” and “E-1200”.
