Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides technical specifications and options for the SW600 contactor, designed for telecommunication and power distribution applications. It is suitable for both Direct Current (DC) and Alternating Current (AC) loads, with a focus on uninterrupted load switching.
Specifications:
  • Thermal Current Rating: 250A for interrupted and 350A for uninterrupted applications.
  • Intermittent Current Rating: Varies with duty cycle, e.g., 1095A at 30% duty.
  • Rated Fault Current Breaking Capacity: 900A at 60V DC.
  • Maximum Recommended Contact Voltage: 60V DC.
  • Coil Voltage Range: 6 to 240V AC/DC.
  • Operating Temperature: -40°C to +60°C.
Performance:
  • Features double breaking main contacts with silver alloy tips for durability and conductivity.
  • Mechanical Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) exceeds 1 million operations.
  • Typical voltage drop per pole across new contacts at 100A is less than 50mV.
Options and Accessories:
  • Auxiliary contacts, magnetic blowouts, armature caps, and mounting brackets available.
  • Magnetic latching option allows the contactor to remain closed without coil power.
  • Silver plating on main contacts is standard but can be excluded.
Installation and Usage:
  • Can be mounted vertically or horizontally; if vertical, the coil should be at the bottom.
  • Advised connection sizes for maximum continuous current include a copper busbar of 387mm².
Additional Notes:
  • The SW600 has been superseded by the SW560, but it remains available.
  • Performance data should be used as a guide, with potential de-rating based on application specifics.

SW600 Single Pole Single Throw Normally Open-1

The SW600 is designed for use in telecommunication and power distribution applications where an uninterrupted load is switched. These contactors are primarily for use with Direct Current loads but can also be used with Alternating Currents. • Uninterrupted current - no or infrequent load switching requirements (maintains lower contact resistance). The SW600 features double breaking main contacts with silver alloy tips which are weld resistant, hard wearing and have excellent conductivity. Silver plating on the main contacts is standard for the SW600, however, optionally it can be excluded from the specification. This compact contactor can be busbar mounted vertically or horizontally, but if mounted vertically, the coil should be at the bottom. If the coil is required at the top, we can adjust the contactor to compensate for this. Optional extras include auxiliary switches, brackets, coil finishes and magnetic latching which allows the contactor to remain closed while consuming no coil power. Please note, although still available the SW600 has been superseded by the SW560. <j? ^ Current (Amperes) Uninterrupted Current Performance data provided should be used as a guide only. Some de-rating or variation from figures may be necessary according to application.
