Peach Pitter model Ct800 The Peach Torque Pitter model CT800 feeds, aligns and pits "clingstone" peaches, with a speed of up to 66 peaches per minute. Features The torque pitting system achieves the highest net weight of the fruits compared to other systems. CT800 doesn't require labor or materials for lubrication. In-season lubrication is jfc achieved using clean water, so there are no downtimes. On connection of a supply source, ' the machine is constantly lubricated by afully integrated system. There is an overspray of clean water, incorporated in the water lubrication, which is J concentrated in those areas where debris, etc. may accumulate. This overspray, together with the use of stainless steel, smooth epoxy-coated surfaces and approved synthetic materials, reduces clean-up time and materials by 80%. Constant lubrication and modern applied technologies make the CT800 easy to maintain and reduce requirements of labor and parts for both in-season and winter maintenances. Time-consuming adjustments to fruit size and ripe are virtually eliminated. By adjusting one air pressure regulator, gripping pressure on the peach can be changed, allowing instantaneous adj ustments to different fruits. Operation Whole peaches are fed into the feeding device. The peaches are separated and fed intoaligning cups. Orientation process starts immediately and continues untilthe peach istransferredtothe pitting station The machine has been improved to allow the peaches to remain in the aligning cups for an extended time giving enough time to accurately orient the fruit. During the transfer cycle, the peach is pre-cut around its stem end, so the tendency of the halves to fracture in this area is reduced. The peach, oriented alongthe suture line, isfed into the pitting station. The pit is held between two blades and then each half is gripped by pneumatically-actuated mechanical hand. This allows quick adjustment to different shape and size of the peaches. Afterwards the halves are turned (counter-twist) by an adjustable angle that vary from 120° to 360°, according to pit conditions. The halves and the pit are finally discharged onto a three-way selective chute, which separates the peaches accordingly to the previous pitting process (good pitting, spoon, bad pitting). If the peach has a split pit, it is verified before hand-twisting operation. A selective knife actuates and pits the peach during the normal hand-twisting cycle.
