SWAM® Wire Abrading System The SWAM® Wire Abrader System consistently abrades the outside diameter of a wire ranging from .015” to .060” in diameter standard. Larger and smaller diameters are made to order. The individual wire segments are manually fed into a variable speed wire pass through mechanism that guides the wire into the blasting area. As it passes through, the wire is completely abraded with a 4-way adjustable nozzle fixture before exiting onto a holding tray. The Wire Abrader System includes two Model LV-1 Micro Sandblasters that operate four nozzle tips. The system can be configured for spools of wire. For manual processing, an optional Ergonomic Work Chamber can be mounted to the side of the frame. The system requires a dust collector to contain the spent abrasive powder.
