Hydraulic System
The reservoir is integrated into the frame to aid in dissipating hydraulic oil heat, featuring a clean, leak-free design. It includes a suction strainer, a separate fill port, and a dipstick with a dual-filtered breather. The hydraulic oil is returned through an environmentally friendly cartridge filter, which is easily serviced. A 2-stage filtration system on the breather/dipstick offers superior protection from contamination and oil misting.

Mast Assembly
The C-5 Series mast is engineered for smooth, reliable operation without compromising strength. It features large, rugged mast trunnions mounted on the drive axle, extra heavy tilt cylinders with self-aligning bushings, and a high visibility nested-rail design. Inline hose routing reduces visual interference, and large hydraulic hose pulleys and placement reduce wear and increase hose life.

Carriage
The C-5 2.0 and C-5 2.5 models come with a FEM / ISO / ITA Class II A carriage, while the C-5 3.0 models have a Class III A carriage. Optional hook-on type ISO sideshifter or other attachments can be easily added.

Steering
The fully hydrostatic steering system features equal area and double-acting cylinder for responsive steering. The rugged axle frame, forged spindle, and connecting links eliminate the need for adjustment. Spherical bearings with straight pins in the connecting links eliminate play, and all bearing locations are sealed and equipped with lubrication fittings.

Electrical System
The C-5 Series includes a severe duty wet cell battery and an exclusive on-board information and diagnostics system with Access 1 2 3® Comprehensive System Control. Features include engine diagnostics, truck level diagnostics, component analyser, password protection, speed control features, and performance modes. The Crown display provides real-time information and messaging for event codes, fuel level, truck hours, or real-time speed.

A large convex horn button is housed in the center of the steering wheel. Isolation systems for the engine and the operator cell virtually eliminate all vibrations to the operator. Hot air is directed away from the operator by a large counterweight opening with a wedge deflector.
