Product catalog summary
Overview: The General Service Grade GPD Cartridge Filters are designed for cost-effective filtration using pleated polypropylene depth media. They offer 99.9% efficiency at the rated pore size and are flushed with high-purity water to remove manufacturing debris. These filters are suitable for general-purpose applications and are priced competitively compared to special-purpose cartridges.
Construction Materials: The filters are constructed entirely from polypropylene, including the filtration media, media support, end caps, center core, and outer support cage. The sealing method used is thermal bonding, and various O-ring materials are available, including Buna, Viton, EP, Silicone, and FEP encapsulated options.
Dimensions: The filters are available in lengths ranging from 5 to 40 inches and have an outside diameter of 2.75 inches. The filtration area is approximately 5.8 square feet per 10-inch length.
Operating Parameters: The maximum differential pressure is 50 psid forward and 40 psid reverse at 20°C. The operating temperature is up to 82°C at 10 psid in water. The recommended changeout pressure is 35 psid.
Sanitization and Sterilization: The filters can be sanitized using filtered hot water, autoclave, or in-line steam, with specific temperature and pressure conditions. Chemical sanitization is also possible using standard chemicals like hydrogen peroxide and sodium hypochlorite.
Applications: These filters are suitable for use in industries such as inks and dyes, air and gases, cosmetics, process water, and specialty chemicals.
Compliance: GPD filters meet FDA requirements for food and beverage processing and comply with relevant European Commission regulations.
Quality Assurance: The manufacturing facility meets ISO 9001:2008 standards, ensuring high-quality production and real-time data analysis for continuous improvement.
Ordering Information: The order numbers for cartridges vary based on pore size, end cap type, and other specifications. A detailed code system is provided for customization.
