Product catalog summary
Construction Materials: The PNC Capsule Filters are constructed using polypropylene for the housing, media support, end caps, center core, and outer support cage. The filtration media is a positively charged Nylon 6,6 membrane, and the sealing method is thermal bonding.
Applications: These filters are suitable for dialysis water, WFI water, medical device rinse water, and endotoxin control. They are hydrophilic, sterilizing grade, and enhance the removal of particles smaller than the rated pore size, such as endotoxins.
Specifications: The filters operate at a maximum liquid pressure of 80 psi and gas pressure of 60 psi at 20°C. The operating temperature is 43°C at 30 psi. The recommended changeout pressure is 35 psid. Pore sizes available are 0.10 μm, 0.22 μm, 0.45 μm, and 0.65 μm.
Flow Rate and Filtration Area: The flow rates vary with pore size and capsule length, with a typical water flow at one psi pressure differential across a single 2-inch capsule.
Integrity Test Specifications: The filters are tested for maximum diffusion rates at various pore sizes and pressures.
Sanitization/Sterilization: PNC capsules can be autoclaved at 250°F for 30 minutes. Chemical sanitization is limited to 1% hydrogen peroxide or peracetic acid. They are available in pre-sterilized and non-sterilized forms.
Compliance and Safety: The materials comply with USP Class VI and FDA requirements for repeated food contact. They exhibit low levels of non-volatile residues and are validated using ASTM and HIMA protocols.
Quality Assurance: Manufacturing meets ISO 9001:2008 standards, with real-time monitoring for quality and traceability. Each capsule is integrity tested before release.
Ordering Information: Capsules can be ordered with specific configurations for sterilization, micron rating, length, and inlet/outlet types.

Pharma Positively Charged Nylon 6,6 Capsules-1

PNC Capsule Filters Positively Charged Nylon 6,6 Membrane edical device rinse water M Endotoxin control PNC Capsules are hydrophilic and manufactured with the highest quality charged Nylon 6,6 membrane. The capsules are sterilizing grade and the positive charge enhances its ability to remove particles smaller than its rated pore size, such as endotoxins in water streams or water based solutions. PNC capsule elements are 100% integrity tested during production. PNC capsule filters are ideal for bacteria and endotoxin control in water systems, including WFI, rinse water for vials and other packaging, water-based bulk chemicals, and SVPs and LVPs. Positively charged to enhance removal of particles smaller than the rated pore size PNC capsule filters are made using FDA listed Nylon 6,6 membrane layers and FDA listed polypropylene molded components. The filter materials passed all standard USP material safety tests for products used in the making of pharmaceutical products. The test fluid is water at ambient temperature. Higher pressure drops are acceptable, but as flows increase the pressure drop of the housing becomes more apparent. 0.10 μm Pore Size * For approximate flow rates for 5” through 30” capsules, refer to the appropriate cartridge data sheet Construction Materials Maximum Operating Parameters Liquid Operational Pressure Filtration Media Positively Charged, Nylon 6,6 Membrane Gases Operational Pressure Operating Temperature Media Support Forward Differential Pressure 50 psid (3.4 bard) at 20 °C (68 °F) Center Core Reverse Differential Pressure Outer Support Cage Sealing Method Thermal Bonding Recommended Changeout Pressure Pharmaceutical Grade Dialysis water
