Food & Bev Pleated Fiberglass Depth Cartridge Filters

Product catalog summary
Overview: The Pleated Fiberglass Depth Filter Cartridges are designed to meet FDA requirements for the food industry, ensuring no manufacturing debris remains to contaminate products. They are rinsed with high purity water to remove extractables that could affect product characteristics.
Specifications: The cartridges feature a gradient density construction for maximum throughput and potential re-use. They are 99% efficient at the rated pore size. Construction materials include pleated fiberglass depth media, polyester support, and polypropylene components. O-rings are available in various materials such as Buna, Viton, and Silicone.
Applications: Suitable for wine and beverage clarification, soft drinks, bottled water, cosmetics, process water, syrups, and air and gases.
Dimensions: Lengths range from 5 to 40 inches with an outside diameter of 2.75 inches. The filtration area is 5.8 ft² per 10-inch length.
Integrity and Operating Parameters: Cartridges are factory tested for integrity. Maximum differential pressure is 50 psid forward and 40 psid reverse at 20°C. Operating temperature is up to 82°C at 10 psid in water. Recommended changeout pressure is 35 psid.
Sanitization/Sterilization: Methods include filtered hot water, autoclave, and in-line steam, with a stainless steel support ring required for elevated temperatures. Chemical sanitization can be performed with standard chemicals.
Compliance: Filters comply with FDA and European Commission regulations for food contact materials. They meet ISO 9001:2008 standards for quality assurance.
Ordering Information: Cartridge order numbers vary by pore size, end cap type, length, and O-ring material. Example configurations are provided for reference.
Flow Rates: Typical flow rates are provided for various pore sizes, with values given in both GPM and LPM.

FGD Cartridge Filters Pleated Fiberglass Depth Media Applications Wine (clarification) Beverage (clarification) Soft Drinks Bottled Water Process Water Dimensions Length Outside Diameter 2.75 in. (7.0 cm) nominal (Average - area varies with media thickness and porosity) Integrity Test Information Our Pleated Fiberglass Depth Filter Cartridges have been designed to comply with all FDA requirements for the food industry. These cartridges have been rinsed with high purity water to assure that manufacturing debris does not remain in the cartridges to contaminate your product. This washing also removes extractables that may affect characteristics such as foaming or brightness. FGD Filter Cartridges are designed to give maximum throughput because of gradient density construction. This also allows for cartridge cleaning and re-use in some applications. Representative cartridge modules are tested for integrity to assure that filters are 99% efficient at the rated pore size.
