Food & Bev Nylon 6,6 Cartridge Filters

Product catalog summary
Overview: The FNM Membrane Filter Cartridges are designed for the food industry, meeting FDA requirements. They are ideal for water and syrup filtration but not recommended for fermented beverages or high protein liquids. These cartridges are rinsed with high purity water to prevent contamination and maintain product taste.
Construction Materials: The cartridges are constructed with a Nylon 6,6 membrane, supported by polypropylene components, and sealed using thermal bonding. Various O-ring materials are available, including Buna, Viton, and Silicone.
Applications: Suitable for filtering syrup, soft drinks, bottled water, and process water.
Integrity Test Specifications: The cartridges have specific air diffusion rates at different pore sizes, ensuring effective filtration.
Dimensions: Cartridges range from 5 to 40 inches in length with a nominal outside diameter of 2.75 inches and a filtration area of 7.0 ft² per 10-inch length.
Operating Parameters: Maximum differential pressure is 50 psid forward and 40 psid reverse at 20°C. The operating temperature is up to 82°C at 10 psid in water.
Sanitization/Sterilization: Cartridges can be sanitized using filtered hot water, autoclave, or in-line steam. Chemical sanitization is limited to mild agents like 1% hydrogen peroxide.
Compliance: The filters comply with FDA and European Commission regulations for food contact materials, ensuring low extractables and non-fiber releasing properties.
Flow Rates: Typical flow rates are provided for various pore sizes, with extrapolation possible for different configurations.
Quality Assurance: The manufacturing facility meets ISO 9001:2008 standards, ensuring high-quality production and continuous improvement.
Validation: Cartridges are validated for bacterial retention using ASTM and HIMA protocols, with specific challenges for different pore sizes.
Ordering Information: Cartridges can be customized based on pore size, end cap type, length, and O-ring material, with specific codes provided for each option.
