Food & Bev Hydrophobic PVDF Cartridge Filters

Product catalog summary
Overview: FPVWB Cartridge Filters are designed for high capacity filtration using a hydrophobic PVDF membrane. These filters are suitable for applications such as bioburden control in non-aqueous liquids, compressed air filtration, process gas filtration, and tank venting to maintain product integrity.
Specifications: The filters are constructed with a high capacity hydrophobic PVDF membrane supported by polypropylene components. They are available in lengths from 5 to 40 inches and have an outside diameter of 2.75 inches. The filters are tested for integrity to ensure consistent performance.
Operating Parameters: The maximum differential pressure is 50 psid forward and 40 psid reverse at 20°C. The operating temperature is up to 82°C at 10 psid in water. Recommended changeout pressure is 35 psid. The filters can be sanitized using autoclave or in-line steam methods, and chemical sanitization is also possible.
Applications: FPVWB filters are used in process gas, compressed air filtration, solvent filtration, tank vents, and non-aqueous solutions.
Compliance and Quality Assurance: The filters meet FDA and EC compliance standards for food and beverage processing. They are manufactured in an ISO 9001:2008 certified facility, ensuring high quality and low levels of extractables.
Flow Rates: Typical liquid flow rates range from 1.1 gpm for 0.22 μm pore size to 7.0 gpm for 1.0 μm. Air/gas flow rates exceed 45 scfm for 0.22 μm and increase with larger pore sizes.
Ordering Information: Filters can be customized based on pore size, end cap type, and other specifications. Various codes are provided for ordering different configurations.

Food & Bev Hydrophobic PVDF Cartridge Filters-1

FPVWB Cartridge Filters High Capacity Hydrophobic PVDF Membrane Solvent Filtration Tank Vents Non-Aqueous Solutions Dimensions Length Outside Diameter FPVWB cartridges are hydrophobic and manufactured with high capacity PVDF polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membrane. The proprietary membrane casting process creates a thick membrane with high contaminant holding capacity, excellent retention characteristics and high flow rates. PVWB membrane provides excellent throughput and is available in multiple retention ratings to help protect product quality and assure consumer safety. Applications for FPVWB filters include bioburden control in nonaqueous liquids, compressed air filtration, Process gas filtration and as tank vent filters to proterct the integrity of products as they are stored in tanks. All elements of the filter design from surface area to filter core, pleat configuration and pleat pack density have been optimized to provide increased cartridge life and lower filtration operating costs. Rugged construction ensures repeatable steaming. Representative samples from each manufacturing lot are tested for integrity to ensure consistent performance.
