Electronics Polypropylene Membrane Cartridge Filters

Product catalog summary
Overview: The EPM Cartridge Filters with Polypropylene Membrane are designed for the electronics and high purity chemical industries, focusing on compatibility with chemicals and solvents used in electronics manufacturing. These filters minimize extractables and are individually tested for integrity.
Construction Materials: The filters are constructed entirely from polypropylene, including the filtration media, media support, end caps, center core, and outer support cage. The sealing method used is thermal bonding, and various O-ring materials are available, including Buna, Viton, EP, Silicone, and FEP encapsulated options.
Dimensions: The filters are available in lengths ranging from 5 to 40 inches, with an outside diameter of 2.75 inches. Each 10-inch length provides a filtration area of 7.0 square feet.
Integrity Test Specifications: The filters are tested with a 60/40 IPA/water wetted membrane. For a 10-inch length, the air diffusion rate is less than 30 cc/min at specified pressures for pore sizes of 0.10 μm and 0.22 μm.
Operating Parameters: The maximum differential pressure is 50 psid forward and 40 psid reverse at 20°C. The operating temperature is up to 82°C at 10 psid in water. The recommended changeout pressure is 35 psid.
Sanitization/Sterilization: The filters can be autoclaved at 121°C or steam sterilized in-line at 135°C, both for 30 minutes in multiple cycles. Chemical sanitization can be performed using standard concentrations of hydrogen peroxide, paracetic acid, and sodium hypochlorite.
Applications: The filters are suitable for use with etchants, gases, tank vents, compressed air, solvents, chemicals, acids, and bases.
Quality Assurance: The manufacturing facility meets ISO 9001:2008 standards, ensuring high quality and cost-effective filtration solutions. The filters exhibit low levels of extractables and non-volatile residues.
Flow Rates: Typical flow rates for a 10-inch cartridge at 1 psid are 0.75 gpm for liquids and over 20 scfm for air/gas at 0.1 μm pore size, and 2.75 gpm for liquids and over 30 scfm for air/gas at 0.2 μm pore size.
Ordering Information: Cartridge order numbers vary based on pore size, end cap type, length, and O-ring material. Specific codes are provided for each configuration.

EPM Cartridge Filters Polypropylene Membrane Applications Etchants Tank Vents Dimensions Length Outside Diameter Filtration Area Integrity Test Specifications Per 10-in. length, 60/40 IPA/water wetted membrane EPM Membrane Filter Cartridges are designed to meet the special needs of the electronics and high purity chemical industries. Materials of construction were chosen for their compatibility with chemicals and solvents used in electronics manufacturing. The cartridges produce minimal extractables when exposed to typical process chemicals and solvents. Each cartridge module is pulse power flushed until the rinse effluent reaches 18+ Megohm-cm and less than 3 ppb TOC. Each cartridge module is also individually tested to ensure it is integral. These membrane cartridges should be used when high performance filtration is essential for high process yields.
