pressure module This pressure module serves for measuring relative overpressure and also underpressure in liquid and gas media of a non-aggressive character. It is intended especially for instrument construction, in which the built-in space is limited and also a reasonable price is desirable. Because of its low current consumption, it is also suitable for use in instruments power supplied from batteries. The module has neither mechanic nor electric cover and it is supposed that it will be protected in the construction of the final product. Such a medium is connected by means of a plastic inlet with the diameter 5 mm. For higher pressures, this inlet can be equipped with thread M5. The measured media is in contact with these materials: silicon, plastic material polyetherimid, fluorine-silicon sealing. This component can be brazed by means of gilded pins directly onto the printed circuit or another way of electric connection can be used. A module fixed behind a pressure inlet is self-supporting but it is not possible to weight it with other parts. The pressure sensor itself is created with a silicon membrane with semiconductor scan resistor. For application with liquid conducting media it is necessary to consider that the measuring membrane is not galvanicly separated from the power supply. Electric signal from the pressure sensor is strengthened, compensated, calibrated and transferred to the output voltage. The standard output range is 0.5÷4.5 V. At an agreement it is possible to adjust the output signal nearly randomly in the range 5 to 15 V without any influence on the measuring accuracy.
