PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Unlike common plastic packages, XLamp XH LEDs use a ceramic Relative Spectral Power reliability not available elsewhere in Relative Flux vs. Junction mid‑power LEDs. The ceramic‑based • 175 mA maximum drive current XH LEDs are designed to deliver the long L70 lifetimes of Cree’s other • Reflow solderable - JEDEC combination of high performance and high‑power LEDs, such as XP or XT LEDs, as well as industry‑leading • Unlimited floor life at Reflow Soldering Characteristics.. 7 • RoHS‑compliant Optimized replacement fluorescent applications, such as troffers and panel lights, • UL‑recognized component where high efficacy, long lifetime and critical, the XH LEDs allow lighting manufacturers to offer products that meet the lifetime expectations of Copyright © 2013-2014 Cree, Inc. Typical Spatial Radiation Pattern smoothed curve using trendline Typical Spatial Distribution 100 Relative Luminous Intensity (%) Thermal Design Thermal Design The maximum forward current is determined by the thermal resistance between the LED junction and ambient. It is crucial for the end product to be designed in a manner that minimizes the thermal resistance from the solder point to ambient in order to optimize lamp life and optical characteristics. 200 Copyright © 2013-2014 Cree, Inc.
