CreatorOptics custom Achromatic Lenses - 1

Achromatic Lenses The achromatic lens is glued from two or three different glass, crown glass and flint glass. It is also called complex lens. The achromatic dual-glue lens is a kind of chromatic aberration lens which is bonded by the low dispersion coronation glass positive lens and the high dispersion flint glass negative lens. During design process, at three wavelengths of blue ( 486.1nm ), green ( 546.1nm ) and red ( 656.3nm ), the dispersion of different values and lens shapes is optimized to achieve a minimum chromatic aberration. Such achromatic lenses can be used throughout the visible light region. Their ability of producing sharper images is superior to that of the single element lens.
