Overview: This document provides detailed wiring and adjustment specifications for Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVR) and Digital Voltage Regulators (DVR) when used with the Gensys Compact and Compact Range platforms. It includes recommended settings for offset and amplitude adjustments, as well as connection details for various AVR models.
Specifications:- Offset Adjustment (Variable 2252): Typically set at 0V or 5V depending on the model.
- Amplitude Adjustment (Variable 2251): Ranges from 0V to 5V, varying by model.
- AVR Output Inversion Adjustment (Variable 2254): Most models do not require inversion, indicated by 'NO'.
Connection Details:- Each AVR model has specific terminal connections for integration with the Gensys Compact platform, such as J2-7 and J2-8 for common and output connections respectively.
- Some models require additional components, such as resistors, or specific terminal jumps for proper operation.
Model-Specific Notes:- AEM R16: Connects via terminals 7 and 8 with no inversion required.
- DECS 200: Uses terminals 10 and 9, with no inversion.
- CRE TECHNOLOGY AVR COMPACT: Requires a 1Kohm resistor between terminals 11 and 12.
- MECCALTE DER1/DER2: Terminals 27 and 28 must be jumped.
Recommendations:- Ensure all connections are made according to the specified terminal numbers to avoid operational issues.
- Verify if additional components like resistors are needed for specific models.
- Check for any model-specific requirements such as terminal jumps or remote control options.
