General Description
Motorized potentiometers and rheostats (MPR) are designed for remote control of shaft angular positions, suitable for harsh environments. They include a DC or AC gear-motor, optional manual rotary knob, rotary position sensors, torque limiter, friction clutch, mechanical stop, and terminal connections. They can be mounted on an open frame or in a mechanical enclosure. Cams and switches are used for position indication with fixed or adjustable angles.

Motorized Potentiometers and Rheostats Hardware Reference Cams may be mounted in two different ways: "A" type cam hub: hub held to the shaft by 2 screws (factory adjusted) "B" type cam hub: one piece clamping collar (allows adjustments) The cam type is specified by the letter of the profile type followed by the letter corresponding to the type of mounting; for example : A/A cam, adjustable B/A cam.
