OptiWay® Network Interface Device, NG Series An Evolant® Solutions Product Description The Corning Cable Systems OptiWay® Network Interface Device, NG Series (NID) is the next-generation in all-plastic enclosures specifically designed to house electronic circuits for the growing FTTx and broadband access markets. This stateof-the-art NID is designed to either replace or supplement existing fiber or standard copper NIDs. Suitable for outdoor environments, the OptiWay NID utilizes a smaller enclosure in keeping with the shrinking size of today’s electronics. The enclosure incorporates a hinged interface for access to OEM electronics. An optional integrated slack storage housing combines economy of space with the trend toward customers’ preference for a sleek appearance on the side of the house. The OptiWay NID integrates the Corning Cable Systems proven OptiFit® Drop Cable Assembly adapter in a more seamless manner than earlier models, greatly reducing installation time and complexity.
