Features and Benefits
The ALTOS® RD All-Dielectric Cables are designed with a reduced-diameter (RD) to optimize duct space usage and ease installation. The all-dielectric construction eliminates the need for grounding or bonding. Innovative waterblocking technology replaces traditional flooding compounds, simplifying cable preparation. The medium-density polyethylene jacket offers durability and protection against UV radiation, fungus, abrasion, and environmental factors.

Standards
The cables meet design and test criteria according to ANSI/ICEA S-87-640, Telcordia GR-20, and RDUP PE-90 standards.

Specifications
Temperature Range: Storage: -40°C to 70°C, Installation: -30°C to 70°C, Operation: -40°C to 70°C. It is recommended to store cables in appropriate temperature conditions before installation.
Mechanical Characteristics: Maximum tensile strengths are 2700 N short-term and 890 N long-term. The cables have a fiber count of 300-432, with a nominal outer diameter of 21.4 mm and a weight of 233 kg/km.

Chemical Characteristics
The cables are free of hazardous substances in compliance with RoHS 2002/95/EG.

Transmission Performance
The cables support both multimode and single-mode fibers, with various performance options for different fiber types. Maximum attenuation and bandwidth specifications are provided for each fiber type, with improved options available upon request.
