Corning Iris™ Glass Product Information As the display industry moves toward sleeker, more slender designs, it needs a way to produce thinnerTVs. Corning Iris™ Glass is a glass light-guide plate (LGP) for edge-lit LCD TVs. Due to its intrinsic rigidity and dimensional stability, it outperforms the incumbent technology - plastic - and allows TV manufacturers to significantly reduce set thickness and create TVs with slimmer bezels. Coming's new composition also features outstandingtransmission and minimal color shift, delivering bright displays with rich, accurate colors.
