Proper selection and application are crucial, with the Technical Department available for assistance. Correct mounting and maintenance are necessary to prevent accidents and ensure longevity. Initial torque may be 30% to 50% less than catalog values until linings settle on the discs.

Precautions for Mounting and Maintenance
Operators should wear protective clothing, including gloves and safety glasses. Moving parts must be protected per EEC directives. Although the brakes use non-asbestos friction material, dust inhalation should be avoided. Oils and greases are used minimally, and protective creams are recommended for those with allergies.

Storage and Disposal
Safe storage and lifting should consider the product's weight. Worn linings and materials are non-toxic and should be disposed of according to local laws. In case of fire, rubber components may release toxic gases, necessitating the use of appropriate masks.

Selection and Technical Data
Selection of tensioning brakes requires data on total tension, reel diameters, and linear speed. Technical data for various brake models include dynamic torque, maximum speed, inertia, air volume, and weight. Initial torque may be significantly less than nominal values until friction surfaces are properly worn in.
