Materials & Finishes: Shells are stainless steel, passivated, and sandblasted. Inserts are made of diallyl phthalate, and contacts are copper alloy with 0.000030 gold over 0.001 nickel.
Electrical: Dielectric strength of 500 Volts RMS, insulation resistance of 1000 Megohms minimum, and contact resistance (mated) of 0.05 Ohms maximum.
Mechanical: Air pressure of 2.5 PSI, water immersion for 48 hours at 6 ft, and mate/unmate durability of 3000 cycles.

Each part number mates to appropriate MIL-DTL-55116 compatible connectors. The CI1129RA-1 accepts 11 conductors with a maximum insulation diameter of .045 each, while the CI529RA-1 and CI629RA-1 accept 6 conductors with the same maximum insulation diameter. The backshell can be oriented in 8 positions at 22.50 intervals.
