Product catalog summary
Principle and Applications
The MS SAM is a smart tachometric relay designed for industrial applications, particularly for monitoring engine and turbocharger speeds. It supports two speed sensors with break detection, recognizes rotational direction, and provides both analogue and digital outputs. The module is suitable for harsh environments and can function as a standalone component or as part of a more complex system. It features local status indication via LEDs and optional CAN bus connectivity for integration with other devices. Configuration is possible through external GUI software on a PC.

Temperature Sensors : SAM -1

The MS SAM is a smart tachometric relay. It performs acquisition of two speed sensors with sensor break detection. Thus, it allows recognition of rotational direction. It provides two analogue outputs, voltage or current loop, and 4 limit switches for alarm purposes. Several LEDs on fascia immediately warn the user locally about the module status. Optional CAN bus connection can be provided, allowing connection of the module to other devices. Also, all parameter are configurable by an external GUI software on a PC. > This module is dedicated for industrial applications. A typical use is the acquisition of engine and turbocharger speed with or without internal alarm facilities. It is designed for harsh environments. This module can be used either as a stand alone component capable of monitoring frequency or speed signals, or as a conditioner capable of delivering both analogue and digital outputs in a more complex system. Reliability of speed acquisition can be increased using two channels in a single, cost effective device. > MONITORING AND SECURITY DEVICE Ң֠ 2 frequency input channels accepting > ■ 1 green LED ( 3mm) for power supply > آ׏ Rotary encoder > ■ 5 red LED ( 3mm) for Alarms > آ׏ Contactless three wires NPN/PNP sensor > ■ 1 yellow LED ( 3mm) for RS232 serial link > آ׏ Magnetic-inductive 2-wires sensor (Pick-up) > ■ 1 yellow LED ( 3mm) for CAN bus activity > آ׏ Binary input with 90 phase for rotary direction.
