Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides detailed information about the Flow Test Laboratory operated by Continental Disc Corporation (C.D.C.), which is equipped to conduct a wide range of flow tests for both air and liquid. The laboratory is ASME accepted and features advanced data acquisition systems.
Specifications: The laboratory includes a 16-channel high-speed data acquisition system capable of reading up to 500,000 samples per second. It is equipped with pressure/temperature instrumentation and custom software that meets ASME Performance Test Codes (PTC-25) requirements.
Test Capacities: The laboratory can handle air tests up to 650 psig and 7200 scfm, and water tests up to 650 psig and 900 gpm, with nozzle sizes ranging from 1/2” to 4” (150/300 ANSI). Other test sizes are available upon request.
Personnel: The laboratory is managed by experienced R&D personnel who are ASME accepted authorized observers, skilled in testing various pressure relief devices.
Equipment and Calibration: The facility maintains precision measuring devices and accessories, including a Coordinate Measuring Machine, Mass Spectrometer Leak Detector, and Optical Comparator. The calibration program complies with MIL-STD 45662A and ISO 9001, ensuring traceability to N.I.S.T.
Operational Procedures: The laboratory uses a high-pressure reservoir to store dry air at 3,750 psig. The air flow is regulated by an electronically controlled valve, and flow rates are measured using orifice meters. Data is captured by a computer system that generates flow test reports.
Contact Information: For more information, scheduling, and rates, contact Continental Disc Corporation at their headquarters in Liberty, Missouri, or through their international offices in the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, China, and Dubai.

Flow Test Laboratory Literature-1

ith a response time of milliseconds, Continental Disc Corporation's ASME accepted Flow Test Laboratory is adaptable to run a wide range of flow tests. And with the addition of the new Liquid Flow Loop, the Flow Test Laboratory can now run the full range of flow tests in both air and liquid. The Flow Test Laboratory includes a 16-channel, state-of-the-art high speed data acquisition system capable of reading up to 500,000 samples per second. This hardware, coupled with pressure/temperature instrumentation and custom written software, creates a measurement system that conforms to the stringent testing requirements of ASME Performance Test Codes (PTC-25). C.D.C.'s Flow Test Laboratory is managed and operated by a team of experienced research and development personnel who are ASME accepted authorized observers. They are experienced in flow testing relief valves, rupture discs, rupture disc resistance values (KR), relief valve/rupture disc combinations, vent valves, and other pressure relief devices.
