TPSX010-1011 MATERIAL STORAGE SPIRAL STEEL SILOS CONTINUOUS WELDING FOR EXTREME STRENGTH Conair’s Spiral Steel Silos are an extremely strong tank, covering all zones and are easy to take down and move. A smooth wall interior with continuous inside seam welding avoids material hangup points. The crimp comprises 20-25% of the steel material of the silo. Conair’s spiral steel silos offer two to three times the strength of a welded steel silo for around the same price. This series can allow for some leeway on an imperfect or irregular pad. SMOOTH WALL INTERIOR ELIMINATES VOIDS The Conair spiral silo is manufactured, literally, from the top down. For strength, 11 gauge steel is used. This silo is so strong that piping placement can be done without additional reinforcement. Weigh cells can be added to determine the material volume in the silo. These silos can also have an optional FDA approved interior finish. The spiral silo is available in an 11 foot 6 inch diameter, pre-formed at the factory and shipped ready to erect in one day. Storage capacities range from 1,818 to 5,558 cubic feet {51.48 to 157.39 cubic meters}. Silos formed for pellet storage usually have a 45º cone bottom. For powder and hard-to-flow materials the silo includes a 60º cone. A 45º/70º compound cone is used for PET materials. n Customized to fit your needs Options include a safety cage and rest platform for silos over 30 feet, a ladder and a slide gate shut-off which is pre-drilled to accept an optional Conair distribution box. n Many standard features Included as standard are: a prefabricated roof with access hatch, roof vent, perimeter guard rail with safety toe board and railing. Also, a vacuum receiver mounting flange, truck-fill nipple, high and low level indicator mounts, mounting flange for the slide gate shut-off and a fully enclosed weather-proof vented silo skirt with a louvered access door is included. If two or more silos are purchased at once, a four foot (span) crossover walkway is provided.
