VA C U U M M AT E R I A L R E C E I V E R S TPCM030-0408 P O W D E R L OA D E R ( P L 1 5 ) TROUBLE-FREE CONVEYING OF POWDERED MATERIALS The PL15 effectively transfers even the toughest filled powders — down to 5 microns in size — without the filter clogging, excessive dust or component failure that can halt operation of a typical receiver. Model PL15 with UTB and optional vent filter assembly The specially designed, pleated filter assembly eliminates material carry-over, and allows for an air-to-cloth ratio of 3:1 in a small space. Despite its compact size, the PL15 can satisfy a wide throughput range, making it an excellent choice for extrusion applications. The PL15 also incorporates many of the same rugged design and performance features that have made Conair’s DuraLoad pellet receivers so popular. Model PL15 with optional ELC-16 control C O M PA C T R E C E I V E R F O R P V C A N D O T H E R P O W D E R S Equipped with a smooth-wall interior, and a compact filter chamber, the PL15 is easy to maintain. Quick release latches and utility connections allows easy no-tools disassembly. Even the filter cartridges can be released individually or as a subassembly. Conair’s unique, removable filter plate module, means filter changes are faster and cleaner than competitive designs. An oversized compressed air accumulator and special blowback timer provide programmable, blasts of air through the two filter cartridges at the end of each load cycle to eliminate material packing. The vacuum sequencing valve, integrated into the quick-disconnect lift off lid, simplifies installation and services. Powder Loaders are available with a Universal Terminal Box (UTB) or an Easy Loading Control (ELC). ■ Compact for low-height areas Although the PL15 provides a full 48 square feet of filter area, the design is shorter than most powder receivers, allowing installation in low headroom areas. ■ Options to fit your needs Match the PL15 to your application with a choice of line sizes and discharge valves, an optional wear plate for abrasive materials or optional stainless steel construction. ■ Choice of control Select either the universal terminal box (UTB) or the new ELC loading control for your receiver. The standard UTB works with B-32, IL-64 or ILS central loading controls. The optional ELC control is a stand-alone loading control based on a receiver integrated CAN open network. See the Easy Loading Control (ELC) specification sheet for more information. ■ Easy material change, cleanout Disassemble all components quickly. No tools needed for material changes or cleanout. The pull-out filter assembly eliminates the mess associated with “bag-style” powder loaders. ■ Long filter life, minimal dust The special easy-release surface of the cartridge filters provide long operating life without packing or degradation. Programmable blowback system minimizes dust and maximizes throughput.
