Product Description

General Information
The integrator is responsible for controlling high-voltage, tube current, and filament current, as well as designing the cooling system and ensuring radiation protection. The generator settings must protect the X-ray tube from overcurrent, overvoltage, and insufficient cooling. Detailed instructions are available in the “X-Ray Tube Manual.”

Radiation Protection
Integrators must ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements for radiation protection. After any tube exchange, repair, modification, or upgrade, radiation protection integrity should be verified. Modifying a Comet product voids the warranty.

Connection of the X-ray Tube
High-voltage cables should be installed by trained personnel, following procedures for cleaning, greasing, and gapping to ensure proper installation.

Cooling
The integrator must ensure the cooling circuit is properly connected and operational before using the tube. The coolant flow must meet required conditions and be monitored. If cooling conditions are not met, high-voltage should be switched off immediately. After switching off the tube, coolant flow should continue for at least two minutes to prevent overheating.
