Combisafe Steel Mesh Barrier Beam solution The Combisafe Steel Mesh Barrier Beam solution is a simple yet effective fall prevention system, designed to allow greater access to the edge without compromising safety. The Steel Mesh Barrier Beam complements the current SMB System, and can be used either on a complete elevation, or on a small section where access to the edge of the building is required. The uniqueness of the system is it’s simplicity and flexibility. The beams can be joined together by spigot tubes to enable larger elevations to be fitted out in a safe manner completely within the system. A smaller SMB Beam is also available for stop ends, curves, and to aid with more intricate areas of the building. Satisfying the requirements of EN 13374, when the SMB Beams are in place, the Steel Mesh Barrier can be safely removed to enable access to the edge of the building, without the need of a harness. For example, when cladding brackets and façade panels are ready to be installed, the SMB Beam enables the user to reach through the beam to carry out the necessary work in a safe and secure environment.
