Fall safety while loading and unloading vehicles and other raised decks is paramount and the COMBISAFE Loading System MKII, based around the new SkyReach Anchor, now includes a number of useful features to enhance transport, installation and usage. Now available flat packed, boltless and with replaceable, adjustable feet, the modular support base of the revised COMBISAFE Loading System, allows the disassembled units to be stacked, enabling more units to be transported on one vehicle and much less space taken up for storage. Each system includes a weighted base ballasted with 1500kg precast ballast, which is interchangeable with the previous designs: alternative ballasting arrangements such as a well compacted 10mm rounded pea gravel* or site-cast concrete can also be used. The complete system is available for sale or hire. Just one COMBISAFE Loading System MKII is required for a 8m length flatbed trailer but two will be necessary if the vehicle exceeds 8m and the user must be connected to both Fall Arrest Blocks simultaneously. The anchor position is 5.9m from the ground when used with the SkyReach Loading System Adaptor. Ensure the base is level by adjusting the feet (max ground slope 5°). Place the Top Column 4.7 or SkyReach Adaptor 5.9 into the Top Frame while standing on the ground. Using a forklift, lift the assembly into the legs of bottom frame until fully engaged.
